Entry #4 Lift Like a Lady

Every morning starts the same way, at least for me. Waking up at the same time, eating something healthy, putting on a cute gym outfit and making my way to the gym. In the beginning, the gym felt intimidating, walking into a place where people seemed to know what they were doing and then there was me who felt out of place, but over time when becoming consistent I started to feel more confident and later realized the gym isn't about being perfect, it's about showing up and wanting to see that change in yourself.

The gym has become more than just a place to lift weights or workout. It's a place where I can go clear my mind and focus on myself. Going to the gym can improve self-love by boosting your mental health. You create a strong bond with your body and mind. My favorite workout is doing arms and legs, but I will say the following day I'm dying going up the stairs at my job. My favorite machine to ever use is the treadmill I love putting it at a hight level. I tend to put the volume all the way up on my headphones and enjoy my moment up there.

The gym can be a very rewarding place, but it can also be very disciplining. One of the biggest things I've learned is that progress doesn't happen overnight, but within time. Some days can feel strong and very confident and others feel tired and unmotivated. At the end of the day the gym isn't just about workouts or weights. It's about growth and becoming the best version of yourself.

  1. It does feel great to establish a healthy routine for ourselves. Nice balance of casual/professional in this entry.
